About Us

We know that the vast majority of authors are serious about their work. We also know that they appreciate good feedback and to us this means feedback that is sincereunbiased, professionaluncomplicated, affordable and reliable.

This is exactly what we offer.

We will assess the most important part of your work - the first chapter - for the affordable, uncomplicated flat fee of £30.00. If you would like us to look over your work again following our feedback we charge just £15.00 and if you wish us to revise it we charge £70.00. To review the first three chapters as a unit at the end we charge £50.00. Please refer to individual services for more details.

A passion for books, reading, writing, and editing, our attention to detail, and a range of other skills, as well as professional and life experience, all merge to give you an excellent level of service so that you can get the most out of your work. And whilst we never boast about our achievements, it may help you to know that our work has been praised with words or phrases such as talented, worderful, incredible, fast-paced, breathtaking, beautifully told, well-edited, unique characters, and highly-recommended.

We are here to ensure you make the best first impression when you submit your manuscript to the industry, and to help save you valuable time by assessing your work early on.

OUR AIM IN MORE DETAIL

In the world of authors and writers time moves at a frightening speed; and runs out even faster. Work produced during any length of time can be anything from beautiful to ugly and everything in between.

Spending time and energy on substandard projects that produce ugly work is every author's nightmare - and a common issue with first-time authors, which we feel is unnecessary.

Experience has taught us that going beyong the first chapter without feedback is risky, because first impressions in the literary world are everything. Many agents and publishers ask for the first three chapters, which more often than not they go on to reject, usually without an explanation. In the aftermath, if not discouraged, an author will try to work out what is wrong and how to put it right, then will make endless changes and waste even more time if he or she is unclear as to what is wrong.

Eventually, work that should be enjoyable, albeit all-consuming, becomes a source of frustration and stress.

It is imperative that you, as an author, submit your best work, and unless you have it reviewed at the very early stages, there is a strong chance that you may be heading in the wrong direction, or doing something wrong that could jeopardise your first or subsequent attempts to impress the industry gurus.

Our users

Anyone can use our services, but we particularly cater for new (first-time) authors who wish to receive early feedback on their work to ensure they devote their time to worthwhile projects.

We are here to rein you in, put you right, and send you on your way again.
