Is your book going to have a happy ending? Sad? Tragic? Are your characters going to get along? Will they fight? Fall in love? Die? It’s possible that you’ll start a book one way and end up another, but it’s usually best to be clear from the start about what kind of story you are weaving so you can shape up your characters the right way before you get them to the ending.
